About Me

I grew up in a large family on a meager income.  Food was the only constant thing we had in abundance and so we ate, and ate, and ate.  I was soon the chubby kid at the end of elementary school and going into Jr. High.  In eighth grade I decided that I wasn't happy with myself and I really wanted to loose weight and be popular.  So I did and I did it all for the wrong reasons, but I learned a lot in the process.  I learned that eating healthy and exercising made me feel really good, and that I enjoyed it.  I took up running and haven't stopped since.  I learned that being healthy was a choice and I gained a new outlook on life.

From that time forward I decided that I wanted to work in the health and fitness industry.  I graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis on Fitness and Wellness.  My goal is to help beginners learn to love taking care of themselves and receive a new zest for life.

I am married to my perfect man and I have two wonderful, crazy children.  I stay healthy so I can keep up with them!
